Designers and Planners are

Innovators, Pioneers and Advocator

for

A Better World.

In the past ten years of study and practice in the built environment, I have been searching for a clear answer to why city-making always attracts and inspires me. My roles and mindsets have ranged from engineer to architect to planner and development manager in order to properly vet and prioritize long-term operational and financial objectives for city transformation. Through these perspectives, I see our industry and community calling for a new generation of professionals equipped with broad perspectives and multi-disciplinary skills to solve today’s built environment complexities, especially in the public sector where I have experience and passion. To me, public development is not simply a design process or fiscal investment, but the practical balance between city development objectives and financial feasibility. Therefore, I would like to become a professional leader who understands the complexities of each planning, development and investment decision, and challenges herself to explore new solutions through design thinking and perspectives of both social responsibility and economic viability. I seek to holistically understand the industry and believe my multi-disciplinary background and practice will further elevate the potential to engage design, planning, finance and public policies as integrally connected to make a better community.

As an Asian female public planner and designer in the built environment, I commit myself to be a global thought leader and industry pioneer who understands, cooperates and leads the dynamic balance between design excellence, development thinking and social impact in the built environment.
